Merge two images:
The first image is a black and white image, with very little depth and fuzzy details.
With the aid of masks, we add tone and values to the image
(images 2 & 3).
We have a woman's that we leave pretty much as is.
The result is a pisture where the woman's features are overlaid on the forest... then we add hints of colour to give the image an air of mystique.
Image fix-ups:
First, an image of rowers with our attention taken away from them bay a lot of noise (shore line and a boat wake); in the right image, the rowers seem to be on a nice quiet lake and all our attention is on them.
The photo on the left has a bad mark on it... the photo on the right has been doctored so as to look like it was never disfigured.
Collage from different photos:
The image on the left is the desired finished product.... the image on the right is my rendition, obtained with the use of layers.
Adding colour to a black and white photo:
With the aid of masks, the idea was to add colour as naturally looking as possible to this black and white photograph.
A folded leaflet, one colour, had to give an impression on minute details in antique restauration and reproduction...
The leaflet had to grab the clients attention... so it was folded in such a way as to .open the door. to a letter to the lient directly from the woodworker... showing an interest for the clients satisfaction.
